Hockley Viaduct

Mainly a concrete construction with a brick cladding, opened in 1891 it provided a rail connection between Southampton with The Midlands and the North. During the Second World War the railway was closed to passengers, and used to carry military traffic for the invasion of Europe.

It now part of the National Cycle Route (NCR 23), with stunning views of the Water Meadows and Winchester from the top.
